There is a multitude of techniques and types of massage therapies. To find out about a few please read below:
Swedish Massage - Known as the most common, is addressing the soft tissue, being worked by manipulating the tissue with long soft strokes, with added kneading and tapping, the techniques used are specifically designed to help for relaxation, blood circulation.
Deep tissue massage - unlike other massage techniques that aims for muscle relaxation only, deep tissue will have both physical and psychological benefit. based on many studies, deep tissue massage will let you pain free.
Sport massage - usually used as for sports people, it refers to a specific area, or spot such as sore muscle, or ligament / tendon, however, can be applied for as well as for the elite of sports as well as for amateurs and others too,
Shiatsu massage - from Japan originally, it is well known as a mix of Chinese techniques including acupressure on specific point of the body as the acupuncture does. Most importantly, this technique has been proven as helping people with autistic spectrum, against anger and aggressive behaviour,
Pregnancy massage - during pregnancy, massage can add many benefits to the wellbeing: reduced stress, reduced pain and aches in the lower back and legs, fewer depression and anxiety symptoms, lower risk of premature labor, high fetal birth weight, just to be named a few.
Lymphatic drainage - with soft but firm touches this technique will increase the inner body fluids flow, reducing the stress level and improving blood flow implicitly carrying better level of oxygen throughout the body, helping with treating and preventing lymphedema, wound healing, lowering the blood pressure and other benefits.
